How To Build Self Confidence
Also: Self Confidence,: Building Self Confidence
You may have read about confidence, as part of your efforts to at least understand how you may build self confidence in your self. But reading about confidence, and actually achieving it, are very different issues. You can read about it your entire life, but you will not have it until you make a move to achieve it; unless, that is, confidence is something you already have in every area of your life.
Self confidence is not something that comes easily if it is currently lacking. You will probably make mistakes along the way towards building confidence, and this is to be expected. It is like learning anything else, perfection just does come all at once, if indeed such a thing is even possible. but one thing is for sure, you can make progress to a higher level of confidence than you currently have, whatever your current level might be.
Take Action - And Decide To Build Your Confidence
If you are going to do something about your confidence level, you really have to make a positive decision to get started, and then get on with it. If you do nothing, then nothing will happen. Watching and reading about it will not do you any good at all if you want to have confidence in life. The reality is that you are going to have to make that first critical move; to take that first step to improving your self confidence.
Reading theory alone cannot be enough. Action is required. Why, you might ask? Confidence is not theory; is a feeling and state of mind. Therefore, it is not completely possible for any one to build confidence without having to do something about it. So, go on and start doing whatever it is that you want to have confidence in.
If you do the right things, then confidence will come quite naturally to you.
Increasing Experience Builds Confidence
Money and gold will not buy you confidence. It is not something that comes ready made, off the shelf in a supermarket or pharmacy. The responsibility lies with one person and one person only; and that is you.
As soon as you take some sort of action, something will happen: you will gain experience. Whatever that experience is, it becomes an asset, that is yours to use, and also to share. Someday that experience may help you; it may even help you to advise somebody else. Keep doing things, repeatedly if necessary, and your knowledge and skill base will grow. As it grows, so your confidence will increase. The better you get at whatever it is, the more confidence you will have. Furthermore, that extra knowledge and experience forms a foundation for the next level. Before you know it, you will be building a skyscraper.
How confident you want to become depends on yourself. You are the one steering the boat so, you decide when you are confident enough. But ultimately, as the saying goes… practice makes perfect!
