More Motivation Tips to Help You on the Way to Success - Taking Risks, Bouncing Back From Setbacks, and Surrounding Yourself With Success

Last time we considered setting our personal goals and objectives, learning how to learn, and being prepared to be different from the crowd. This week, let us add a few more motivation tips that can hopefully set you on your way.

4. Be prepared to take risks. You will find most successful and highly motivated people have taken risks at some time, if not regularly. When you take that risk, resolve to learn from it, regardless of what the outcome is. The risk/reward relationship you may hear or read about in investment articles applies to your personal life too.

Taking risks not only increases your potential, but the adrenalin that flows when you take a risk can add to your motivation. Even if your first risk seems not to pay off immediately, by being determined to learn from it you will help ensure the next time it will pay off.

5. Recovering from setbacks is something that not everyone can do, especially if they have moved out of their comfort zone. Whatever type of setback you have, though, you need to be ready to bounce back with a vengeance. Again, learning from the setback or failure will add to your power to succeed.

Those who are negative to any setback will fail unless they can counter that trait. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself, grab the situation and turn it into a possibility. It may turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you, but if you dwell too long on the negative impact, you may be blind to that opportunity.

6. Finish every project you start, unless you have new evidence that you are heading in a wrong direction. If you are always starting and never finishing projects, then you never experience the reward of completion. Seeing your completed achievements is a motivator in itself.

7. If you have a particular field of interest you want to be motivated for, surround yourself with others who have already succeeded in that field, not those who have failed. You can do that through their books, videos, seminars or personal meetings. Avoid negative thinkers, those who have failed but now dwell on their failure and blame everything and everyone else. Think positively.
